More than 100,000 people took to the streets in Berlin on Sunday against the war in Ukraine. About an hour after the beginning of the demonstration, the police spoke of a number of participants in the lower six-digit range.

At the same time, the influx from the surrounding area continues. The area between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column is already fully utilized under Corona conditions. That is why the demonstration area will be extended to the Tiergarten S-Bahn station and the other streets around the Victory Column on the Großer Stern.
An alliance of trade unions, churches, initiatives, environmental protection organizations and peace groups had called for a demonstration against Russia’s attack. The organizers were initially surrounded by 20,000 participants under the motto: “Stop the war. Peace for Ukraine and All Europe».
