In Sochi, site of the Winter Olympics, Putin’s “Hunger Games” are taking place this week for young people from all over the world. The ISHR is disgusted by the unbearable warmongering and dehumanization of Putin’s warmongers. Medvedev rails against European heads of government and shows a European map in which there is no longer any Ukraine, only Russia.

ISHR: Disgusting warmongering and brainwashing of young people

Frankfurt/Moscow, February 6, 2024 – While Russian troops have been bombing targeted civilian infrastructure and residential areas throughout Ukraine for two years, shooting, torturing and murdering civilians, the war criminals Putin and Medvedev are organizing an international youth festival. The second Russian statesman Dmitry Medvedev spreads disgusting warmongering in front of tens of thousands of young people. The International Society for Human Rights (ISHR) calls for Putin’s warmongers like Medvedev to be tried and convicted at the International Criminal Court, a commentary.

In the first week of March this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin is hosting the world’s largest international youth festival. The 2014 Winter Olympics site will host 20,000 Russian and international leaders of teenage and youth movements on every conceivable topic.

Distributed in the Olympic style in a large “City of Youth” that is functionally networked with each other using the most modern communication technologies. High-tech halls on topics such as business, sport, culture or social issues, broadcasts on everything and everyone, giant screens on the main podiums.

The photo galleries on the event’s website show young, friendly faces under the official motto “Let’s start the future together”. Disgusting and frightening in view of the simultaneous Russian war of annihilation against Ukraine.

We know that Putin’s propagandists have long been outdoing each other in their inflammatory speeches. Be it that they want to release the German foreign minister for shooting, constantly want to drop an atomic bomb on Berlin or want to bury the Armenian democratic prime minister in a hole in the ground for life to be spit on.

But that one of Russia’s second statesmen, Putin’s former puppet president, Dmitri Medvedev, stands in person in front of tens of thousands of teenagers and young people from all over the world and explains to them in larger-than-life cartography a European map in which there is no Ukraine, but only Russia, goes beyond the previous crimes under international law.

This also includes crimes against the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which applies to children and young people up to the age of 18.

This is another blatant violation of international law and its Western community of values. The ISHR, based in Frankfurt am Main, therefore urgently calls on Putin’s propagandists of the hate speech about international crimes and genocide to be brought before the International Criminal Court for legal responsibility.
