Ukrainians with children in Poland can apply for assistance from March 26

From March 26, Ukrainians who arrived in Poland after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine will be able to apply for Family 500+ assistance. This is reported by the Lviv Regional Military Administration in Telegram.

The Regional State Administration reminded that Family 500+ is a state program to support families with children. A Ukrainian family will be able to receive monthly assistance in the amount of PLN 500 (more than UAH 3,400) for each child under 18, regardless of the family income.

The application form is available in Ukrainian on the Electronic Services Platform (PUE) of the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS).

To apply you need:

  • Polish identification numbers PESEL;
  • bank account in Poland;
  • Polish phone number;
  • E-mail address.

On the weekend of March 26-27, ZUS offices in Poland will help Ukrainians who want to apply for 500+. A list of addresses can be found on the ZUS website. ZUS also launched a special hotline in Ukrainian and Polish to answer questions about family benefits for Ukrainians. The hotline is available from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 18:00 at 22-444-02-55.

On March 22, the UN reported that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, more than 3.5 million residents of the country have left Ukraine, of which more than 2 million Ukrainians have crossed the border with Poland.
