Since 5 August 2022, officers and special forces of the FSIN have brutally tortured and humiliated convicts, subjecting them to suffering as revenge. For crimes committed by two convicts, the FSIN generals imposed collective responsibility.

“At the moment there is torture in penal colony No. 2 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Kalmykia. On the night of 5-6 August all the officers were drunk, the screaming and bullying did not stop for two days and those who had done mischief and those who were in the CJSU unit. In the morning at 6 a.m. the special forces were brought in. They provoked, mocked, humiliated and insulted, beat all the convicts. We were walking in our pants to the canteen and standing on the parade ground for 3 hours.
We fear for our lives. We are threatened with reprisals and revenge against all Muslims. They told us verbatim: one for all and all for one. A tooth for a tooth, blood for blood.
