Get to know – Selivanova Svetlana – trainee from Ukraine

Selivanova Svetlana Participant of the project for training media actors, section of Ukraine. I am 47 years old, married, have 3 children – two sons and a daughter. I have a higher education.

I learned about the launch of the project from the IAC (information and Analytical Center) ISHR telegram channel in July 2024, followed the link to the page and filled out the form to participate. Then I received an invitation to fill out the form by email. I was invited, in the format of a telephone conversation, to take part in the training in Kyiv.

The training took place in 3 stages.

1. Legal issues – human rights – regulatory framework, what and why they are for a person, where and how they are fixed, used, intellectual property for the use of photos, videos in social networks, online platforms. Rules and permissions for filming and posting materials. Psychological trainings. Combined the acquired knowledge with the areas of their employment.

2. Training, theory and practice of working on the Instagram social network. Features of the platform and working with it, promoting your area of ​​​​activity.

3. Training, theory and practice of working in the TikTok social network. Features of the platform and working with it. Skills and rules for shooting and processing material, editing. Practical and theoretical meeting with a representative of the legal field – who has experience working with these platforms.

During the training, I made new acquaintances and was in a warm circle of people striving for knowledge, teachers, received valuable skills in photo and video shooting, their processing, editing and application. Significantly improved my skills in working in the Instagram social network. Got acquainted with TikTok.

Currently, as a continuation of the project, I am undergoing an internship in Germany. I am studying international online platforms aimed at studying, supporting human rights and freedoms around the world, fruitful work in a loyal environment of people who want positive changes in the world, meeting and communicating with volunteers of varying degrees of experience in different countries, I am taking part in  a workshop on video editing, translating existing videos, writing articles.

I hope that I can be useful to society, I can convey to Europe some of the issues of Ukraine’s pain.

I will be able to use the acquired skills in the future both in my own business and for the benefit of humanity and the country.
