The first block meeting of the group was held within the framework of the “Training of Media Actors” program in one of the rest areas of Aghveran.
The topics of the first meeting were more relevant from the point of view of understanding the ambiguous reality of today’s Armenian news, maintaining clarity and ethics in journalistic activity. While the materials of the seminars were extensive, they were interactive in nature, and the participants were given the opportunity to examine and analyze their own knowledge and experience, along with the information they received.
Among the topics of the seminars were: coverage of Human Rights in journalism with separate aspects, features of creating facts-based materials, advantages of field journalism, necessity of fact-checking, etc. An informal independent news body was formed, the MIHR team, which will soon provide independent, non-political, and objective comments. New and interesting meetings are expected in the near future. The team is open to thinking, analyzing new members.
