Kharkiv 2024: first 10 days of November under shelling

Not a single day or night goes by without bombings in Kharkiv. While the whole world is preparing for the brightest family holiday – Christmas, Ukraine is suffering from constant air raids and missiles. However, even in these dark days, Kharkiv, one of the largest cities in eastern Ukraine, is preparing for the holiday: Christmas locations are being set up and the entire city is being decorated with festive lighting. And what’s up? This does not prevent the Russian military from bombing Kharkiv day after day.

The first 10 days of November Kharkiv, like many previous days, is under fire: guided aerial bombs, C 300/400 missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, 250/500 high-explosive aerial bombs with UMPK – unified planning and correction module – have become part of Kharkiv reality. And of course let’s not forget about the Grom E-1 guided missile weighing approximately 600kg, which was used by the Russians less than 10 times during the entire full-scale war. All these bombs and missiles are hitting Kharkiv’s civilian infrastructure and killing civilians every day. During the full-scale war, dozens of residential houses, shopping centres, petrol stations and historical buildings in the centre of Kharkiv were destroyed, as well as the city’s suburbs, educational institutions, cars, public transport stops and so on.

During these 10 days of November, hundreds of Kharkiv residents were left without their flats, houses, workplaces and places of recreation. Among the civilian population, 4 people were killed and 67 adults and 3 children were injured during this period. The youngest wounded child is only 3 months old.

Every day Russia bombs Ukraine and kills its citizens. The skies are still not closed.
