Vardanyan Rima. From Armenia to Germany<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Hello, I\u2019m Rima, a 28-year-old enthusiast from the village of Sarnaghbyur in the Shirak region. I am deeply passionate about writing, creating, and articulating clear opinions on topics that interest me\u2014expressing myself through strong communication skills. Growing up in a place with limited geographical and socio-economic opportunities, I\u2019ve witnessed many human rights challenges, which have been a driving force behind my work. My father\u2019s participation in both Artsakh wars has also significantly influenced my journey, inspiring me to write about human rights violations.<\/p>\n

My primary focus is prose, though I\u2019ve written a few works in verse as well. Writing is one of my favorite ways to connect with the world and express my many interests, including literature, sports, marketing, human rights, and dance. My love for literature and art, combined with a deep connection to nature, has further fueled my passion for storytelling and advocacy. Currently, I\u2019m pursuing my second degree in law, aspiring to become a lawyer. My first degree was in international relations, and both disciplines have enhanced my ability to think critically and view issues from multiple perspectives.<\/p>\n

Since 2014, I\u2019ve been actively involved in volunteer work, engaging in diverse projects and public activities. Through the Erasmus+ program, I participated in various exchange projects and seminars, one of which eventually brought me to Germany. I first discovered the International Society for Human Rights (ISHR) through Facebook. After filling out an application, I was thrilled to be invited for an interview by Bella, the head of ISHR\u2019s Armenian branch. That marked the beginning of my journey with ISHR. In Armenia, I attended three seminars focused on human rights in journalism, personal data protection, freedom of speech, journalistic integrity, combating hate speech, and avoiding misinformation. After successfully completing the course, I was invited to join the second phase of the program, and now here I am, in Germany, interning at ISHR\u2019s main office.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been just over a week since I arrived, and the experience has been incredible. I\u2019ve had the chance to interact and collaborate with inspiring professionals, gaining invaluable insights. With a month of my internship still ahead, I\u2019m excited for what\u2019s to come.
