38 of the 57 member states of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) have backed the creation of a special group of experts to examine human rights violations in Russia, the French Foreign Ministry<\/a> has said.<\/p>\n

In order to examine possible cases of violations, the OSCE will resort to the so-called “Moscow Mechanism”, according to this method, the organisation will appoint a group of 45 independent experts who will “assess the state of implementation of Russia’s commitments and identify the actions of the Russian government which have led to the current state of human rights and fundamental freedoms”.<\/p>\n
