The Parliamentary Assembly noted:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Congratulations to imprisoned Russian opposition leader Vladimir Kara-Murza, who has just been awarded the 2022 V\u00e1clav Havel Human Rights Prize! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The 60,000-euro prize honours outstanding civil society action in defence of human rights worldwide.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Vladimir Kara-Murza is currently in custody. He is accused of spreading fakes about the Russian army. Criminal charges have also been brought against him for participation in an undesirable organisation in Russia, and state treason.
