Election of the President of the Republic of Moldova, October 30, 2016<\/h2><\/h1><\/div>

On October 30, 2016 the President of the Republic of Moldova was elected. According to the preliminary data, none of candidates received the absolute majority of votes. The candidates who obtained the highest number of valid votes cast are Igor Dodon<\/b> and Maia Sandu<\/b>. They will compete in the second round of elections to be held on November 13, 2016.
\nThe voter turnout immediately after the close of polling stations (21:00) was 49.03%<\/b> that is sufficient to validate<\/b> the elections.<\/p>\n<\/div>
