On the occasion of Human Rights Day on December 10, 2023, the International Society for Human Rights (IGFM) laments the numerous human rights violations taking place around the world. ISHR chairman Edgar Lamm calls the Russian attack on Ukraine the most serious state human rights violation.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On the occasion of Human Rights Day on December 10, 2023, the International Society for Human Rights (IGFM) complains that human rights have once again been grossly violated worldwide this year. According to the Frankfurt organization, numerous dictatorships are hiding behind the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East in order to continue their barbarism undisturbed.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

ISHR chairman Edgar Lamm gives examples:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cChina remains guilty of genocide against the Uighurs. It continues to eradicate Tibetan culture and religion. At the same time, independent and democratic Taiwan is under military threat. Hong Kong was gradually brought into line with the <\/span>Chinese dictatorship<\/span><\/a> .<\/span><\/p>\n

Turkish-Azerbaijani <\/span>aggression against Armenia<\/span><\/a> has led to the displacement of 100,000 Armenians from the Nagorno-Karabakh region. Armenia \u2013 the oldest Christian country in the world \u2013 sees its existence threatened.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Iranian mullahs’ regime<\/span><\/a> continues to carry out death sentences against members of the opposition. With the help of a stricter headscarf law, women who resist the obligation to wear a headscarf are ruthlessly persecuted. Iran also supports terrorist groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, the most serious state human rights violation currently is the <\/span>Russian attack<\/span><\/a> on Ukraine. Ukraine must continue to be supported in every way. If Putin wins this barbaric war, he will be emboldened to attack other neighboring states.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
