In addition, two mobile healthcare units for emergency obstetric and newborn care, will be established.<\/p>\n<p>The funding is part of the EU\u2019s overall \u20ac243 million in humanitarian aid <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/echo\/where\/europe\/ukraine_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">in response to Russia\u2019s war in Ukraine<\/a> which comes on top of in-kind assistance to the country via the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/echo\/what\/civil-protection\/eu-civil-protection-mechanism_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">EU Civil Protection Mechanism<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHistory has shown \u2026 that women bear the brunt of wars and conflicts, and the war in Ukraine is no different.
