The dictator who currently holds power in\u00a0the Russian Federation has launched a\u00a0criminal war. The horror unleashed on\u00a0our kindred people in\u00a0Ukraine is\u00a0becoming a\u00a0true humanitarian catastrophe. The hundreds of\u00a0thousands of\u00a0Ukrainians who have lost their homes, their livelihoods, their loved ones, and even their lives are bearing the full brunt<\/p>\n

of\u00a0the blow. But all of\u00a0us\u00a0who speak Russian and belong to\u00a0the Russian cultural world feel the blow\u00a0too. The very word \u2018Russian\u2019 has become toxic. Most of\u00a0us\u00a0are far away from the conflict, and from Russia. We\u00a0may be\u00a0powerless to\u00a0stop this nightmare, but we\u00a0do\u00a0not have the right to\u00a0remain idle. The number of\u00a0refugees will keep rising. The humanitarian situation will worsen. The very least we\u00a0can do\u00a0is\u00a0help the people fleeing from the horror that Putin has started in\u00a0Russia\u2019s name. The real Russia is\u00a0bigger, stronger, and more durable than Putin. This Russia lives and will outlive\u00a0him. The dictator is\u00a0fighting a\u00a0war not only with Ukraine, but against the better part of\u00a0his own country. He\u00a0is\u00a0smothering Russia\u2019s future. Let us\u00a0prove to\u00a0the rest of\u00a0the world that Putin does not speak and act for all Russians. And let us\u00a0prove to\u00a0ourselves that we\u00a0are capable of\u00a0real concrete action, not just words. Let us\u00a0help our Ukrainian friends. Please donate to\u00a0help Ukrainian refugees.
